Graduated and post-graduated in International Relations and European Studies (2000 and 2002); Post-graduated in Communication and Political Marketing (2009); Master in Political Science (2010) from the Instituto Superior de Ciências Sociais e Políticas – Universidade Técnica de Lisboa.
AICEP and Ministry of Economy (XIX Constitutional Government)
Between 2011 and 2013, he advised the Board of Directors of AICEP – Portuguese Trade & Investment Agency, in the areas of External Relations, Communication and Press, and also took on the role of Chief of Staff for the Agency’s CEO and Chairman, Pedro Reis. Subsequently, he was appointed as advisor for communication and press relations to the Minister of Economy, António Pires de Lima, and also acted as his Chief of Staff.
Cunha Vaz & Associados
Communications consultant between 2007 and 2011, in the areas of institutional and political communications, having participated in the management of landmark projects such as Pope Bento XVI’s visit to Angola and the presidential elections in Cape Verde.

Between 2004 and 2007, he was the Mayor’s Press Officer.
Ministry of Public Works, Transport and Housing (XV Constitutional Government)
Between 2003 and 2004, he worked as International Relations Adviser in the Minister’s Office, and later as Press Officer in the Office of the Secretary of State for Housing.
Crisis Communication
Since 2011, he has been a permanent collaborator of the ISCSP/UL Institute for Postgraduate Studies, in the postgraduate course in Communication and Political Marketing, as a lecturer in Crisis Communication and Media Training and in the Media and Political Communication Laboratory; and of the ISCSP/UL Institute for Training and Consultancy in various specialised training modules in the area of crisis communication.
