She has a degree in Social Communication from Escola Superior de Educação of Instituto Politécnico de Setúbal.

She took her first steps in journalism in the sports section of Agência Lusa. She went on to work for the newspapers Nascer do SOL and i, where she was a member of the online team.

She worked as a journalist and also produced content and managed and planned social media. She then worked at Notícias ao Minuto, where she wrote about international news, society and politics.
